Green Schools Green Families workshop (Evans Elementary)

October 03, 2017

The city of Memphis has an energy burden. Our low-income residents pay an estimated 14% of their income toward utility costs. This is higher than anywhere else in the country. Green Schools Green Families workshops educate and equip low-income families to reduce the energy consumption in their homes. Each workshop participant receives a free home weatherization kit packed with items that will impact savings in their homes (spray foam, weather-stripping, caulking and insulated socket gaskets).
