Longfellow Pollinator Garden

September 23, 2017

Longfellow Elementary will convert a portion of the schoolyard to a pollinator habitat using plants native to the region. The project will support science and outdoor education, and serve as a gathering spot, especially during student drop-off and pick-up. The project involves school-site partner STEM on the Vine, and numerous organizations affiliated with the Kansas City Native Plant Initiative, including the M.U. Extension Master Gardeners and 4-H, and Green Thumb Gardens.
