Together, we will advance the development of high-performing green schools creating better learning environments for our nation’s students. This will not only benefit our environment and economy, but will also help educate a new generation of Americans about the importance of sustainable buildings and environmental stewardship.

Together with the Center for Green Schools, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt is empowering schools to become safer, healthier and ultimately more effective places to learn. As a global education leader, we’ve partnered with Green Apple with the goal of improving educational outcomes, in support of our mission to change lives by fostering passionate, curious learners. By providing training and resources to schools and teachers, driving the dialogue around sustainability education, and encouraging our customers to go green with us through our ‘Stop the Presses’ digital sampling campaign, we will help implement tangible, positive change in US classrooms and beyond.

As a global design leader, Shaw Contract Group is partnering with the Center for Green Schools with the goal of providing healthy, high-performing, and sustainable learning spaces around the world.  We designed Cut & Compose, our newest education carpet collection, to support the Center for Green Schools at the US Green Building Council in its mission to create green schools for everyone within this generation. 1.5% of all sales from this Cradle to Cradle certified collection will go to the Green Apple initiative. Our design team is dedicated to providing beautifully designed carpet that is constructed to endure. Beyond that, we create flooring that's safe and sustainable for people and the planet.  It's our job as designers and our promise as a company.
