The purpose of this project was to add solar panels to the roofs of several schools in Richmond. Once the panels are installed, there will be immediate economic benefits and cost savings for the schools. The environmental benefits include reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and increased education regarding the environment. The latter will occur as teachers will be trained to work with solar and expose students to the benefits of them. Solar kits will also be provided as a part of this project.
