Citizens of the World Learning and Vegetable Garden

September 30, 2022

We are a socio-economically diverse by design public charter elementary school with a focus on social and emotional learning and sustainability. We have just moved from a co-location to a new, permanent facility and we are very excited about our green spaces! We have a beautiful, tree-shaded space that is begging for an outdoor-learning garden classroom. We have a garden committee made up of staff and parents who are ready to bring this project to life. Our vision is a learning garden where children can plant and harvest vegetables, and where teachers can use the space as a classroom. This project will include garden boxes, soil, gardening tools, plants and seeds, ground covers, and benches.
