Planter Boxes at Dicken Elementary School

September 10, 2021

Children will learn about different plants that grow and bloom at different times of year. They will help select and plant flower bulbs that will grow and bloom in the spring - allowing students to see growth and bloom. They will also plant hardy mums on top of the bulbs that will grow during the summer months and bloom during fall months when they return to school . The ground mounted planter boxes will be located under classroom window air conditioning units and the condensate water that drains from these air conditioning units will help water the planter boxes.
